  • The ScholarTrips competition started in 2004 and awards grants to students wishing to take part in international travel programmes. In the belief that new cultures are essential to the development of a student, Allianz Global Assistance hopes that it will promote meaningful global exchanges. Allianz Global Assistance has given more than $150,000 in travel bonds to students who want to learn or help others. The aim of this year’s competition is to provide 14 year olds with a platform to showcase their creativity while answering the question: “What is your dream travel experience and who is the perfect accompanying person and where are you going? “Entries may be submitted in an essay or in a video. Students entering the competition are eligible for one of six first place $2,500, ten second place $1,000 or 25 third place $500.

  • The NextGen Scholarship fund was launched for international students and non-citizens who arrive in theUSA with hopes of higher education (and to create a better life for themselves and their families). It is a local scholarship program (Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia) that provides an annual award to a qualified and outstanding senior high school or current college student at a two-year or four-year college. Applicants must have a minimum of 3.0 GPA to qualify for this scholarship, and be an international student or non-citizen enrolled in a US school. All applications have to be completely filled out. Incomplete requests are not considered. Applications are judged according to merit and financial necessity. One scholarship is awarded each fall in the amount of $1,000.

Global Experiences Scholarships

 

  • Global Experiences is a dedicated participant of the IIE Generation Study Abroad program and has promised $25,000 of scholarship grants to create a more culturally oriented population by 2020.
