It’s not 1999 anymore; modern day hipsters are king of the design markets: web, industrial, fashion, food, advertising, and marketing. They also flock to majors with heavy intellectualizing and the creative arts. We’ve found these to be the 7 most hipster majors:

Industrial Design
Hipsters love cool design; that’s why you’re probably reading this on an Apple product. The applied art and science to make better design and usability of a product. Strong emphasis on developing a brand and marketing. ID (Industrial Design) often overlaps with engineering design; its leaning is on user-interface aspects of a product. However, according to Wikipedia, both focus on the connection between a product, user, and environment

Minimum of a Bachelor of Industrial Design (B.I.D) or Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) (note: B.I.D. is a 5 year program).

Agriculture
Nothing is hipper than gardening, especially urban gardening. Sometimes called Agricultural Science, this major can lead to to many different occupations. This degree program prepares graduates for work with growing, farming, raising farm animals and creating sustainable systems for natural resources.
